MISSION
Tesler Preservation was established to provide a variety of historic preservation related services to organizations, governments, individuals and corporate clients. Experience and education in diverse fields allows Tesler Preservation Consulting to serve an array of clients and successfully address a wide range of projects. The goal is to produce superior-quality work that contributes to the protection of built heritage and historic documents while also supporting progress. Non-profits, advocacy, marketing, archiving, and fundraising are all essential elements in preserving our history.
Brook Tesler, MPS
Founding Principal & Architectural Historian
With over 10 years experience in luxury hospitality, corporate marketing, and event coordination, Brook moved to New Orleans to pursue her passion for historic architecture and preservation. She has worked for both the Louisiana Landmarks Society and Vieux Carre Commission Foundation providing a variety of services including fundraising, email and social media marketing, event coordination, graphic design, administration and non-profit management, database management, proofreading and copy-editing, website maintenance, marketing campaign creation and execution, and public relations.
Brook received her Masters of Preservation Studies from the Tulane University's School of Architecture after obtaining her Bachelors of Arts in Art History from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Her training and education included coursework in Interior Architecture and Design. She believes in constantly continuing her education through frequent attendance at lectures and workshops.
